Join Lukie’s SOUL in helping sick and injured children at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. When we started Lukie’s Holes ‘Fore’ Hope in 2003, we wanted to remember and celebrate Luke’s short life, to grieve our loss, find hope and start healing as a family. Over the years, our goal has become so much bigger, and we’ve accomplished more than we ever imagined together as a community. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for YOU – our sponsors, donors, golfers, volunteers, family, friends and our Lukie’s SOUL committee. You have brought your commitment and unending faith for 18 years, celebrating and honoring Lukie’s life with us. You’ve helped sick children and families from across CNY in the most meaningful way when they needed it most.   

Lukie’s Holes “Fore” Hope has raised over $500,000 since 2003. These are the things we’ve accomplished together...

  • Named the schoolroom in Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital in Lukie’s honor which is staffed by a full-time teacher so patients can continue their schooling and interact virtually with their classmates/teachers.
  • Funded equipment updates, yearly instructional materials, backpacks and a working “scrapbook” to help families and children understand their hospital stay in the Upstate GCH and psychiatric inpatient unit.
  • Supported seminars for local school teachers to better relate to chronically ill children in the classroom. 
  • In 2014, supported the pediatric playroom in the Upstate Cancer Center and in 2016, a family bereavement room in the Upstate pediatric emergency room.
  • Provided quarterly meals for pediatric patients and their families at Upstate GCH.    
  • Building an observation room in the new Golisano Center for Special Needs (coming soon).
