Upstate Towsley Pro-Am

2020 raised record-breaking $145,000

The Upstate Foundation would like to thank the generous sponsors who supported the 2020 Towsley Pro-Am. The tournament was rescheduled from June to August 4 due to COVID-19 and every sponsor made that schedule change seamlessly. And, despite these uncertain times, the Towsley Pro-Am raised a record-breaking $145,000! This is an extraordinary achievement considering the affect that COVID-19 has had on every aspect of our lives.

The tournament proceeds will support a new dialysis unit at Upstate Community Hospital and the new Golisano Center for Special Needs, a place where children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families will receive the services and support they so desperately need.

We also had a record-breaking day in terms of rainfall! This summer, of all summers, we would not have predicted 12 hours straight of heavy rain. As Hurricane Isaias made its way up the east coast it brought rain and wind to the Turning Stone and the Towsley Pro-Am. To say it was not a good day for golf, is an understatement! However, the Towsley sponsors were in it for the right reasons – to support patients and families served at Upstate University Hospital.

In particular we are grateful to our Presenting Sponsor, IBEW Local 43/NECA Finger Lakes Chapter whose loyal and generous support honors their dear colleague and friend, Bill Towsley. We would like to thank the many generous sponsors highlighted below.

In these uncertain times, all kinds of heroes rise up and make a real difference in the lives of others. Heartfelt thanks to the Towsley Pro-Am sponsors – heroes who recognized a critical need and made a meaningful difference!
