Upstate Towsley Pro-Am raises more than $240,00 for Neuro ICU
The 100-degree heat index and high humidity did not deter 56 teams from teeing off on June 23 for the 41st Annual Upstate Towsley Pro-Am at the Turning Stone Resort Casino. The Upstate Foundation is deeply grateful to event sponsors, both loyal and new, and golfers who persevered through challenging weather conditions in support of the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at Upstate University Hospital, the only one in the region.
“As the only Level 1 trauma center in the area, the Neuro ICU treats the most severe and complex brain injuries and conditions,” said Luis Mejico, MD, chair of Upstate University Hospital’s neurology department. “The Neuro ICU treats patients with traumatic brain injuries, severe strokes, brain tumors and other critical neurological conditions. Patients are treated by teams of clinicians that approach each patient’s journey with expertise and compassion while also extending support to their families.” |
A special thank you to the tournament’s longstanding presenting sponsor, IBEW Local 43 and NECA Finger Lakes Chapter which support the tournament with time, talent and treasure in honor of Bill Towsley, a mentor and friend whose commitment to community service inspired the name of the tournament. We also thank our partner, the PGA of CNY; sponsors gravitate to the tournament’s unique format as each foursome is paired with a PGA pro and teams compete for the top prize.
To the companies, labor unions, foundations and individuals that support the Upstate Towsley Pro-Am, we thank you for your generous spirit and support of the Upstate Foundation’s mission. Towsley sponsors are featured in the banner below and in the photo album.
On behalf of the Upstate Foundation and Towsley Pro-Am Committee, thank you for making a meaningful difference this year and every year. We look forward to Towsley Pro-Am 2026 and what we can achieve together!
