Upstate Community Giving Campaign

The Community Giving Campaign is Upstate Medical Univeristy’s annual charitable solicitation for all State, Research and MedBest employees for the United Way. It is a convenient way to give to all your favorite charities, including the Upstate Foundation, at one time by check, payroll deduction or credit card (e-Pledge only).

Upstate Foundation Funds

The Upstate Foundation manages more than 1,200 funds. These funds support Upstate students, patients and families, and faculty and staff with fund purposes that encompass education, research, technology, staff development and recognition, and unmet patient needs.

You can designate a gift to an Upstate Foundation fund(s) through the annual Upstate Community Giving Campaign. This is vehicle to use to support an Upstate purpose or project that is meaningful to you. Hamilton White and Elizabeth Blackwell donors may also designate gifts to an Upstate fund. If choosing an Upstate Foundation fund for the Upstate Community Giving Campaign, be sure to add 613 in front of the fund number. 613 is Upstate Medical University’s designated prefix.

2024 Upstate Foundation Featured Funds

To honor Upstate’s mission to improve the health of the communities we serve through education, research and patient care, the Upstate Foundation has selected featured funds that represent our threefold mission:

President’s Scholarship Endowment (Fund 71250) supports student scholarships in the colleges of Medicine, Health Professions, and Nursing.
Upstate Foundation Research Fund (Fund 47661) supports the research mission in any area of discipline at Upstate.
Friend In Deed (Fund 16329) As Upstate University Hospital’s annual fund, donations are a financial resource for a variety of unmet patient and family needs, and hospital programs and services for which there is no other means of support.

Please consider designating your Community Giving Campaign gift to one of the featured funds or select another Upstate Foundation fund, where your gift impacts the health of the entire region.
