The Power of Us! Annual Employee Giving Program

Through the Upstate Foundation, your gift supports Upstate Medical University’s mission… patient care, education and research, which positively impacts community health and well-being. 

Each spring, you can support Upstate Medical University in a way that is meaningful to you by donating through the Upstate Foundation’s The Power of Us program. The program allows you to donate directly to any Foundation fund – there are over 1,000+ funds representing all areas of Upstate’s mission of patient care, education and research. 100 percent of your donation goes to the fund(s) that you choose.

2021 Recap

The Upstate Medical University workforce is the vital and powerful source of support for the Foundation’s annual Power of Us employee giving program. The 2021 program marked several notable statistics: a 54 percent increase in the number of gifts and pledges; a 57 percent increase in new donors; and a 40 percent increase in returning donors.

The Upstate Foundation expresses its heartfelt thanks to all employees who participated in the Power of Us.

Giving is easier than you think!

1. CHOOSE A FUND  that is meaningful to you. Let giving be gratifying! Search online on the fund search page, or see the partial listing below.

2. SELECT THE PAYMENT method that is most convenient for you: cash, check, credit card or payroll deduction where your payments are divided over 26 weeks starting July 1. Each pay period, the designated amount is automatically withdrawn from your paycheck. 

3. USE THE E-PLEDGE OPTION… through your Self-Serve login and click on The Power of Us! logo.

SIGN UP for payroll deduction by June 17, 2022.

Anyone signing up after the deadline will have fewer weeks to make their donation. Payroll deduction runs from 7/1 - 6/30 annually.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Fund #01351 – To heighten awareness, increase clinical capacity and programmatic initiatives, improve access to services, and support research in the area of pediatric mental health.

Health Care Heroes Fund #19992 – The specific purpose of this fund is to provide support and recognition for Upstate nursing staff and health care professionals to include, but not limited to, things such as: gift cards, morale boosting activities, wellness activities and more.
