2023 Recap

The Upstate Foundation’s 3rd Annual Walk Run For Kids was held on Saturday, September 23 at Otsiningo Park, Binghamton, NY. Nearly $50,000 was raised to support the Upstate Foundation’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Campaign and the Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital Southern Tier Region Fund.

As part of the morning’s events, the Upstate Foundation presented Mary DeGuardi, MD, director of pediatrics at United Health Services (UHS) in Binghamton, NY, with a $15,000 check to support the UHS Reach Out and Read Program that seeks to encourages the habit of reading at an early age.

Special thanks to our 23 generous local business sponsors, with Weis Markets and Binghamton University’s Phi Mu Sorority as Champion sponsors; nearly 200 runners, walkers, and children; and over 20 volunteers.
