The Cool Head Project
Helping cancer patients keep a cool head as they navigate their treatments.
The Paxman Scalp Cooling System that can prevent chemotherapy-induced hair loss in cancer patients is now available at the Upstate Cancer Center in Syracuse. Because the scalp cooling treatment is not covered by all insurances, The Cool Head Project Fund was established at the Upstate Foundation to offset the cost and make this technology available to more patients.
Hello Friends of The Cool Head Project!
Thank you for attending and supporting our very first fundraiser on June 11, 2020 featuring The C Word – a documentary that focuses on how to take back some control of your health and work to combat and prevent cancer, by Academy Award nominated Producer and Director Meghan O’Hara. This virtual event successfully raised over $27,000 to benefit The Cool Head Project Fund. We invite you to view our fundraiser and The C Word documentary in the video below.
