PA Educational Enrichment Endowment

Hard work pays off! The PA Classes of 2018, 2019 and 2020 worked tirelessly with the CHP Alumni Association to create an endowment to benefit the Physician Assistant Studies program. The PA program had been the only CHP department without its own dedicated fund.

Sandra Banas, MST ’77, RPA-C, PAS Program Chair noted, “As the program has grown, we felt the natural next step was to establish a dedicated fund to provide a direct way for students, alumni and others connected to the program to give back. This endowment will provide funding for the program in perpetuity. “Now we need the help of our alumni to grow the endowment,” Banas added.

The larger the endowment, the greater the impact it will have on the PA program. The endowment supports the educational enrichment of PA students and faculty. This includes, but is not limited to, scholarships, lab equipment, guest speakers and professional development.

“This is a terrific accomplishment for the future of the PA program!” said CHP Alumni Board President Anthony S. Kurec, MS, '86, MASCP, MLT(ASCP), H, DLM.
