Dale Avers, PhD, DPT, PT, FAPTA is a professor of Physical Therapy Education at SUNY Upstate Medical University and a Fellow of the American Physical Therapy Association. Dr. Avers has been a practicing clinician in geriatrics and outpatient orthopedics for over 40 years and has been with Upstate’s College of Health Professions for 18 years. Dr. Avers has held many leadership positions during her career, including president of the Section on Geriatrics at the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy. She was the first president of the College of Health Professions Alpha Eta Honor Society and has served on many committees at the SUNY, University, College and Program levels.
Your gift of support to the Dale Avers Leadership Award Endowment will honor Dr. Avers’ commitment to the Physical Therapy Education program. The fund will provide an annual award to a third year Doctor of Physical Therapy student in recognition of leadership abilities.
