5W Quaility of Life Fund (01329) – To enhance social and recreational activities available to psychiatric inpatients and for other purposes directly related to the quality of life of individuals hospitalized on 5W.

The ADHD Evidence Project Fund (01352) – To improve the lives of people with ADHD by curating, disseminating and promoting scientifically researched and evidence-based conclusions about the disorder to patients, families and clinicians.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Services Fund (07910) – To support pediatric psychiatric services.

Corrine M. Craig Memorial Endowment (61925) – To support education in the field of adolescent psychiatry and suicide prevention.

Department of Psychiatry Endowment (71300) – To support hiring of a new faculty member.

Evan D. Gould Memorial Fund or Endowment (19501/64300) – To support research, treatment, education, and awareness for people, especially young adults, struggling with mental illness and chemical dependencies.

Zach Helfrich Memorial Fund or Endowment (20250/64630) – To support clinical care, education, and research for suicide prevention.

Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatric Unit Fund (23030) – To support adolescent and pediatric psychiatry with a focus on patient care and amenitites.

MINDonline Fund (26300) – The MIND online program is an 8 session online treatment and training program for patients with nicotine dependence. Medical students trained to do motivational interviewing for nicotine dependence under direct supervision from faculty.

Allan Peter Miskell Memorial Fund or Endowment (26605/68165) – Support adolescent and pediatric psychiatric services.

Fund for Education and Research in Neuropsychiatry (27450) – The purpose of this fund:  FERN seeks to dramatically improve the diagnosis and treatment of Neuropsychiatric disorders in youth and adults through innovative research and state-of-the-art educational programs. Four principles guide the activities of FERN: FERN designs research and education programs based on the advice of internationally acclaimed neuropsychiatric experts. FERN challenges current paradigms to open new pathways for the treatment and diagnosis of neuropsychiatric disorders. FERN educates parents, clinicians and teachers to apply state-of-the-art methods for the early identification, treatment and prevention of neuropsychiatric disorders and associated impairments.

4B Patient Quality of Life Fund (34850) – To enhance social and recreational activities available to psychiatric inpatients and for other purposes directly related to improving the quality of daily life of individuals hospitalized on 4B.

Pediatric & Adolescent Research & Patient Care Fund (34955) – The specific purpose of this fund is to support pediatric and adolescent psychiatry research and patient care in the department of psychiatry.

Improve Overall Mental Health for Children and Adolescents Fund (37541) – To provide resources for occupational therapy and music/poetry therapy in the Upstate's Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit.

Upstate's Children and Adolescent Psychiatry Fund (47696) – To support adolescent and pediatric psychiatry with a focus on patient care and amenitites.

Corinne M. Craig Memorial (61925) – To support education in adolescent psychiatry and suicide prevention.

Naomi Chernoff Memorial for Resident Education (61255) – To provide residents with creativity-based educational experiences.

Seymour Fisher Memorial Lectureship (727) – To support an endowed lectureship in psychotherapy.

Suicide Prevention – Psychiatric High Risk Program Fund (44565) - To support teh Psychiatric High Risk Program at Upstate including, but not limited to, salary support and patient assistance.

Suicide and Self-Harm Prevention Endowment (73658) – To support efforts to prevent suicide and self-harm behaviors, such as overdoses, cutting, or asphyxiation.  Monies will be used for:

  1. Educational programs for the general public and persons at high risk for suicide or self-harm, and training for clinicians who treat such persons.
  2. Treatment programs that specifically target persons at high risk for suicide or self-harm.  
  3. Research that aides our understanding of the causes, prevention, or treatment of suicide or self-harm behaviors. 

Support for Families of Suicical Individuals Fund (44650) –  To provide case management services to the families of individuals at high risk for suicide. The project takes place within the Psychiatry High Risk Program (PHRP), a well-established program within Upstate Medical University's Psychiatry Faculty Practice, Inc, founded by Dr. Robert Gregory. Initial funding from the Patrick Lee Foundation will support the recruitment of a part-time case manager.

Team Sexy Potato Fund (44652) – To support the Psychiatry High Risk Program and/or a related program addressing research, education, prevention and treatment programs for children and adolescents struggling with mental illness, specifically those at an increased risk of self-harm or suicide.
