The challenge match has been met!
Many thanks to all alumni and friends of the College of Nursing who helped make this happen!

The Upstate College of Nursing is about to embark upon an exciting new adventure and we invite you to join us.

As the field of health care changes and evolves with dizzying speed, nurses must stay on top of the latest developments in order to achieve the highest quality outcomes for our patients.  We are pleased to announce the creation of The Whitney Lectureship Endowment to support an annual, on-campus visit by a nationally renowned health care expert.

The Whitney Lectureship is made possible through the very generous support of Fay and Roy Whitney.  Fay has had a long and distinguished career in clinical practice, nursing education, and research.  Her efforts were instrumental in the establishment of Upstate’s Nurse Practitioner program in the 1970s and, indeed, to the beginning of the national Nurse Practitioner movement.

In support of the Whitneys’ gift of $50,000 – the largest in the history of the College – the Nursing Alumni Association has matched their gift to bring the endowment total to $100,000.

Your involvement has been key to reaching the match!  We hope you will  join us at a Whitney Lecture in the future and join us on this inspiring journey.

Thank you!
