In honor of Stephanie Lessun

March 14, 2024  |  To the Upstate Community:

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of a death of a member of the Upstate family, Stephanie Lessun, who was killed when she was struck by a car on Harrison Street.

Stephanie had been a beloved and respected member of the Upstate social work team since 2018.

We extend our sympathies to all who knew her, coworkers, friends and family members.

In light of this tragedy, Upstate Leadership and Spiritual Care are rounding in various departments and with those who worked most closely with Stephanie.

We thank everyone who responded to help at the scene and the medical team that provided her care in our Emergency Department.
