11/7/2023. It has come to the attention of the Upstate Foundation that a flyer was recently distributed by a group seeking to raise funds for medical care for children in Gaza. Unfortunately, this flyer misrepresented the Foundation’s relationship with the group and furthermore contained statements that are contrary to the Foundation’s mission. Upon learning of the flyer, the Foundation promptly directed the individuals associated with this group to remove all flyers and to not issue any future communications invoking the name of the Foundation unless they have first been approved by the Foundation. The individuals have apologized and agreed to cooperate.

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that strictly refrains from being involved in any political activities, whether domestic or international. The Foundation’s purposes include supporting other 501(c)(3) recognized organizations. To the extent the Foundation supports medical aid to injured children abroad, it will not do so if any of such support involves political activities or endorses political views of any kind. Any statements by others to the contrary are false and made without permission from the Foundation.
