This two day intensive review course will review all of the necessary content to prepare for American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC’s) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing certification exam. Based on the certification exam test content outline, this review course will help the psychiatric RN study and analyze comprehensive material and concepts.
The Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Exam Requirements include:
- Hold a current, active RN license within a state or territory of the United States or the professional, legally recognized equivalent in another country.
- Have practiced the equivalent of 2 years full-time as a registered nurse.
- Have a minimum of 2000 hours of clinical practice in psychiatric-mental health nursing within the last 3 years.
- Have completed 30 hours of continuing education in psychiatric-mental health nursing within the last 3 years
This 2 day review course will provide 14 CE credits.
The Institute for Continuing Nursing Education at SUNY Upstate Medical University is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the New Jersey State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission On Accreditation.
