beneath the surFACE is an advocacy and awareness program, sponsored by the Upstate Cancer Center, to elevate the knowledge of head and neck cancer in our community. The program has worked with local high school art and health departments, in conjunction with local artists, to transform radiation therapy masks used by patients during treatment. These masks represent a difficult time for patients and, through the healing power of art, we hope we have given new perspective to the disease.
On April 14th, 2016 from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm, these works of art will be on display and up for auction at the Upstate Cancer Center. This event will benefit the first ever Head and Neck Cancer Patient Fund which will support efforts for further education as well as direct patient funding. This event is the culmination of over 2 years of work from hundreds of participants.
Tickets for the event will be a minimum donation of $10 for head and neck cancer survivors and students and $20 for general public (5 and under are free). We will have refreshments, entertainment, information, and of course our auction. You are invited to participate in what will prove to be one of the most unique fundraisers of the year! Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you in April.
Register securely below. Deadline midnight April 13th. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
